Eve
Eve was one of a new breed of tough, talented, commercially viable female MCs to hit the rap scene during the late '90s. Though she could be sexy when she chose, she wasn't as over the top as Lil' Kim or Foxy Brown, and as part of the Ruff Ryders posse, her production was harder than Da Brat's early work with Jermaine Dupri. In the end, Eve came off as her own person; a strong, no-nonsense street MC who could hold her own with most anyone on the mic; and was finding success on her own terms. She was born Eve Jihan Jeffers in Philadelphia on November 10, 1978, and started out as a singer in her early teens, performing with an all-female vocal quintet. She was also honing her skills as a rapper in impromptu battles with friends, and before she left high school, she formed a female rap duo called EDGP (pronounced "Egypt"), adopting the name Gangsta. EDGP performed at local talent shows and club gigs, often to the detriment of Eve's dedication to school. When the group broke up, she went solo and changed her name to Eve of Destruction; she also moved to the Bronx in the wake of her mother's remarriage, and worked for a time as a table dancer at a strip club. Unhappy with this direction, she decided to give rap another shot after being encouraged by Mase.
Through some of her friends, Eve scored a meeting with Dr. Dre in Los Angeles, and surprised him by turning it into an audition. Dre liked what he heard and signed her to a one-year deal with his new label, Aftermath. Eve recorded a few tracks, including one, "Eve of Destruction," that ended up on the Bulworth soundtrack in 1998. However, Aftermath was searching for a direction at the time, and Eve wound up lost in the shuffle. Her contract expired without an album even in the works, but fortunately, she'd met DMX when the rising new star was in Los Angeles promoting his smash debut, It's Dark and Hell Is Hot. Eve passed a battle-rap audition to join DMX's Ruff Ryders posse, and in 1999 she contributed to their label's Ryde or Die, Vol. 1 compilation. Thanks to DMX's star power, it entered the charts at number one, and Eve's track, "What Ya Want," was released as a single. It hit the R&B Top Ten, and Eve built more anticipation for her debut album with high-profile guest spots on the Roots' "You Got Me" and the Blackstreet/Janet Jackson duet "Girlfriend/Boyfriend."
Eve's first full-length was titled Let There Be Eve...Ruff Ryders First Lady and released in September 1999. With Ruff Ryders the biggest name in rap, the album was an instant smash; it entered the charts at number one -- the first time a female rapper had ever accomplished that feat -- and went on to sell over two million copies. Eve also scored hits with the R&B Top Ten "Gotta Man" and the antidomestic violence track "Love Is Blind," and guested on Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott's hit "Hot Boyz." After touring in support of the record, Eve returned to the studio and delivered her follow-up, Scorpion, in early 2001. The album received strong reviews and topped the R&B charts, while debuting at number four on the pop side. Lead single "Who's That Girl?" had some chart success, but it was the follow-up, a duet with No Doubt's Gwen Stefani called "Let Me Blow Ya Mind," that really broke Eve on the pop charts. The song rocketed to number two and went on to win a Grammy in the newly created category of Best Rap/Sung Collaboration; it also helped Scorpion go platinum.
Eve next set about establishing a movie career; she made her box-office debut in the Vin Diesel action blockbuster XXX, which was released in the summer of 2002. Not long after, she was also seen in a prominent supporting role in the Ice Cube comedy Barbershop. Amid all this activity, Eve released her third album, Eve-Olution, in August 2002. It debuted in the Top Ten, and found Eve returning to the soul singing of her youth on a surprising number of tracks. The single "Gangsta Lovin'," which featured guest vocals from Alicia Keys, was a number two smash on both the pop and R&B charts, and the follow-up "Satisfaction" was nominated for a Grammy. In early 2003, Eve signed with the UPN network to produce and star in a multiracial sitcom about a fashion designer. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide

MADtv Season 9:
The ninth season of MADtv aired from September 13, 2003, to May 22, 2004, with 25 episodes.
Season summary:
After Debra Wilson left the show at the end of last season, season nine was the first without any original cast members. Former featured players Ike Barinholtz, Josh Meyers, Ron Pederson, and Paul Vogt were upgraded to repertory status. (This would be Meyers' last season on MADtv, but he later appeared on the FOX sitcom That '70s Show.)
Among season nine's new cast members was Daniele Gaither, a member of Groundlings who was trained by Michael McDonald before appearing on MADtv. (Gaither had previously appeared in season two as one of the Dolemite girls in a sketch about Bob Dole.) Her celebrity impersonations included Eve, La La, and Tyra Banks. The second new cast member was Nicole Parker, who became known for her impersonations of Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Ellen DeGeneres, Renée Zellweger, and Judy Garland (as the character Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz parodies).
Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele joined the show as featured cast members. Peele created several hilarious characters (such as Funkenstein) and offbeat impersonations (such as Ja Rule). Both Key and Peele were promoted to repertory players the next season.
New cast members Melissa Paull and Gillian Vigman (known for celebrity impersonations including Charlize Theron, Jennifer Aniston, and Pamela Anderson) were introduced in the ninth season, but left at season's end.
Season nine included the show's 200th episode; several former cast members returned to mark the occasion. Orlando Jones appeared as Andre 3000 of Outkast performing a parody of "Hey, Ya." Nicole Sullivan reprised characters such as the Vancome Lady and impersonations of Meg Ryan and Judith from Literally. Alex Borstein made her first appearance since season seven and portrayed the beloved character Miss Swan. Will Sasso revived his famous impersonations of Bill Clinton and Kenny Rogers. Cast veteran Artie Lange (now a regular on The Howard Stern Show) recorded a monologue of his life since leaving Madtv. Former original cast member Phil LaMarr also appeared during season nine as character Kalvin Mudflap Clarke in the Real Mother****ing Talk sketch.
Season nine introduced a recurring sketch, The Lillian Verner Game Show, with Paul Vogt playing flamboyant host Dale Priskett. This mock game show involved contestants vying for products that are spoofs of Lillian Vernon products. A recurring character, Gail Cinder (played by Stephnie Weir), would always return as the show's reigning champion. This sketch also featured MADtv writer Michael Hitchcock as the game show's announcer. The 7am Condo Report,a sketch about retired elderly people residing in a Florida condo, debuted; it featured Stephnie Weir as Muriel (a woman who suffers recurring strokes), Ron Pederson as Clifford (an angry, bitter old man in a wheelchair), Daniele Gaither as Jelly (an old African-American woman who is obsessed with her grandchildren and black culture), and Paul Vogt as the nurse.
Other season highlights were appearances by Jessica Alba (Honey) as pop star Jessica Simpson, Tommy Davidson and Fred Willard as the hosts of Real Mother****ing Talk, boxers and WWE wrestlers (including Sugar Shane Mosley and Trish Stratus), professional skater Tony Hawk promoting his fictional restaurant, Jeff Probst hosting a celebrity edition of Survivor, Cedric the Entertainer (Johnson Family Vacation) co-starring in a blaxploitation version of Frankenstein as Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde, Frankie Muniz (Agent Cody Banks 2) returning in a sketch with Stephnie Weir's Dr. Kylie Johnson, Tom Bergeron in a parody of his show Hollywood Squares, and Groundlings alumnus Jennifer Coolidge.
Mo Collins and Aries Spears announced that they would leave the show at the end of the ninth season.
Opening montage:
The title sequence begins with the MADtv logo appearing above the Los Angeles skyline. The theme song, performed by the hip-hop group Heavy D & the Boyz, begins and each repertory cast member is introduced alphabetically, followed by the featured cast. The screen dissolves into three live-action clips of an individual cast member. The three screens multiply until they occupy the entire screen. A still photo of the cast member appears on the screen with a caption of his/her name superimposed on it. When all cast members and guests are introduced, the music stops and the title sequence ends with the phrase "You are now watching MADtv".

“Le Copain”
1997 Imported Oldenburg Gelding, 16’3+
(By Welt Hit II out of a Furioso II mare)
“Louie” was imported last summer for his petite AA owner, who now hopes to find a horse just like him, only one hand smaller!
“Louie” is an elegant, modern horse that is comfortable and easy to ride. He is kind and sweet and lovely to work around. Louie is perfect for the YR needing a competitive horse, or a competent amateur wanting to learn the upper level movements. Because he has a good “go” button, he is not for a total beginner. He has a beautiful technique for pirouettes and flying changes. . He qualified for the regional championships in his first to shows of he year. In May, he received a “8” on his tempi’s in his winning PSG class at Saratoga, N.Y. He easily does the 15 “ones” needed for the GP.
New vet check with 30 X-rays available to seriously interested individuals. Owner would also consider a trade for a smaller horse or dressage pony of equal quality.
